Call A Nurse Services
WCORHA offers a free, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year nurse call system across West Central Ohio. The system serves as a health information, triage and referral service for individuals who have questions or concerns about their health. For callers who have signs and symptoms of an illness, the nurse will assess their condition using standard triage guidelines to identify the scope and significance of the health concern. These calls result in recommended action and care advice, which may include home treatment, or a referral to an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center. Call A Nurse also provides local physician and service information, as well as registration for educational events or health screenings sponsored by organizations in the surrounding area. The Call A Nurse staff also perform follow-up calls to community members on behalf of the member hospitals. This program is supported by the WCORHA membership as a benefit to the entire West Central Ohio region – Partnering for Healthier Communities.
