St. Rita’s Occupational Health Center is located in the industrial area of 1875 S. Dixie Hwy, Lima, Ohio. Just 2.5 miles South of St. Rita’s Medical Center and a short distance from several Interstate 75 exits; the center is open from 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. This location has served the employers in the region for over fifteen years.

Specializing in Occupational/Environmental Medicine, our physicians and staff understand the needs of employers and are well versed in the importance of return to work outcomes and industry regulations. Our dedication to Occupational Medicine affords us the ability to provide the appropriate screenings and make recommendations for the workplace. In addition to the care received at our clinic site, we provide medical directors (physicians) and nurses at the industrial/business site; designed to fit the specific need of the company.

St. Rita’s Occupational Medicine has established systems through the Medical Center Emergency Departments and Urgent Care to assist companies with 24/7 service related to their Occupational needs.

Committed to our focus of keeping the workers healthy and “on the job”, we consistently set the standard for Occupational Medicine in the region.

Dr. Gary Kerstein has joined the department as our full time physician and comes from a manufacturing environment in Michigan.

Dr. Michael Humphrey and Dr. Steve Huffman,help provide Occupational Medicine services to employers in our outlying regions. While Dr. Huffman directs the services at Putnam County Ambulatory Care and Delphos Ambulatory care; Dr. Humphrey provides care and services at industry sites. Having over ten years experience with Occupational Medicine they have helped develop a continuum of care and case management from our Emergency Departments through the system for the patient and employer.

Working with our physicians to provide quality and best practice, are a team of dedicated Occupational Health staff. Our staff is certified in the regulatory requirements to meet employer needs including but not limited to DOT, CAOHC and NIOSH. Their knowledge and many years of experience lends an important component to employers for health and safety of employees.
