Van Wert County Hospital is pleased to offer Occupational Health services to area industry. The majority of our services are conducted through the Emergency Services Providers, with ancillary departments providing specialized services. Care is administered for emergent workplace injuries and clients are referred to their personal physician for follow-up needs.

- Respirator clearance physicals
- Spirometry
- Respirator Fit testing
- Pulmonary function testing
- Electrocardiograms (EKG)
- Audiograms
- Mantoux tests
- Drug screens
- Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT)
- X-rays
- Police and Fire physicals
Health Fair Screenings include:
- Osteoporosis (bone density)
- Dermascan (skin cancer)
- Weight
- Body fat analysis
- Blood pressure
- Pulse
- Blood work
Scheduled appointments are required for most services. Our friendly Central Scheduling staff is available to schedule your needs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Due to the nature of the Emergency Services, clients here for routine (non-emergent) employment screens may experience a delay or may be required to reschedule physicals. Serious or life threatening cases in the Emergency Department will be cared for prior to Occupational Clients.
Occupational Health services such as emergent injury treatment, post accident drug screens and breath alcohol testing are available 24 hours a day. Photo ID is required for drug screen and BAT testing.
