Occupational
Health, Employee Assistance Program, and Safety Services:
The region's only multi-hospital
provider of occupational health services with multiple locations for
accessing services through sites located at JTDMH (Joint Township
District Memorial Hospital), VWCH (Van Wert County Hospital), MCJTCH
(Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital) and SRMC (St. Rita’s
Medical Center).
- WCORHA works with multiple
occupational health professionals and medical directors to develop
opportunities to decrease program costs and the employer's
healthcare costs.
- WCORHA offers the only regional
Employee Assistance Program 24 hours a day/ 7 days per week with
Master's trained licensed EAP counselors.
- WCORHA offers the only Safety
program within West Central Ohio to assist employers with pre-OSHA
audits, safety manuals, Certifed OSHA 10, 30, and 40-Hour Classes,
and a number of additional safety services.
- The members of WCORHA's occupational
health program are licensed MCO providers through the Bureau of
Workers Compensation managed care program.
- WCORHA operates a common sales team,
performs billing/collections for all facilities through this
program, and guarantees payment to the member hospitals.
Mobile Health
Van:
WCORHA provides access to a 40 ft., technologically advanced health
van that allows healthcare professionals to provide a variety of
healthcare services in an 11 county services market, i.e. drug
testing, occupational medicine, audiology testing, physician exams,
health and wellness education, osteoporosis screening, respiratory fit
tests, x-ray services, dermascan testing, etc. These services are
provided through active contracts with member hospitals and area
providers, as well as through community healthfairs.

Call A Nurse:
WCORHA offers a free, 24 hour a day, 365 days a year nurse call system
across West Central Ohio. The system serves as a health information,
triage and referral service that also provides physician and service
information, schedules educational events and performs follow-up calls
to community members on behalf of the member hospitals. The program is
supported by the WCORHA membership as a benefit to the region.
Cancer
Services:
WCORHA began it’s largest project to date when it developed a new,
not-for-profit corporation called The Cancer Network of West Central
Ohio in 2002. The purpose of the new corporation is to provide access
to regionalized cancer care services. Currently, two free-standing
cancer centers are under construction, slated to be completed by
February, 2004.
