Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital (MCJTCH)
began as a 48-bed primary acute care facility in 1950 as Our Lady of
Mercy Hospital. In the early 1970's the Sisters of Mercy, a Catholic
Order from Cincinnati, sold the hospital to the seven southern
townships of Mercy County. In 2001, Jefferson Township was added to
the hospital district. At that time, they became Mercer County Joint
Township Community Hospital and completed a major expansion project.
Today their 76 bed facility is staffed by professionals dedicated to
making your visit with them as pleasant as possible. MCJTCH provides a
full range of acute care services including a swing bed program for
transitional care; an intensive/coronary care unit; inpatient and
outpatient surgery as well as state of the art outpatient diagnostic
equipment. Their mission is to provide quality care at an affordable
price. MCHTCH has recently completed a renovation to provide their
visitors and patients with a well equipped, modern facility. They are
accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations (JCAHO).
Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital was
among the leaders in their area to offer a childbirth center in which
the mother can stay in one room throughout the labor, delivery, and
recovery process. They also offer their expecting mothers a
hydrotherapy unit that can be used during the labor process.
Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital's
latest addition is their Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program.
Through monitored exercise and education, patients with known
cardiovascular or pulmonary disease can improve fitness, reduce risk
factors and develop a lifelong, healthy lifestyle.
As part of their commitment, Mercer County Joint Township Community
Hospital has developed a number of programs in Celina, the county seat
of Mercer County. In addition to the Community Medical Center that
allows physician specialists to serve area residents on a full and
part time basis, they also provide an after hours minor injury/illness
treatment center called Doctors' Care. MCJTCH's Community Hospital
Home Nursing Care Center is also located in Celina along with
Community Sports and Therapy Center, a facility for outpatient therapy
services. Occupational Health Services and their Maternal Care Center
are at the Community Medical Center on State Route 127 South of
Celina.
Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital is
proud of their facility and of the excellent reputation they have
established as a place that offers quality health care services. At
Mercer County Community Hospital, "Their Main Concern is YOU!"
