Situated in the rich agricultural and industrial area of west central Ohio, Van Wert County Hospital serves as the access point for high quality health care for over 70,000 people in Van Wert and surrounding counties. Van Wert County Hospital is a 100 bed acute care facility with a medical staff of 90 and over 300 employees. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. Established in the early 1900’s, the hospital has expanded to include state-of-the-art facilities and services for medical and surgical, obstetrical, pediatric and emergency care. The finishing touches have been completed on a 1.7 million dollar renovation project of the hospital's Obstetrics Unit. This unit now offers six LDRP (Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Post Partum) rooms, or Birthing Suites; three Anti Partum/Post Partum testing rooms; a new waiting room, nursery, nurses' station and conference room. Van Wert County Hospital continues to grow and offer the services and technology to better serve the citizens of our area in every stage of life.
